My artist friends
I look back to an inspiring 40 year old friendship with my globetrotting,
rustic friend Scott, now settled on the coast of Mexicos California Baha.
After 40 years, I recall, clear as crystal, our first, banana sharing encounter
on his Colin Archer wooden boat
in the harbour of Flensburg, Germany.
I feel safe promoting Scott as the most exiting, diverse artist of maritime scenes.
Look especially close at his drawings/watercolors,..
beautiful, suverain and charming work.
Adrian, the absolute sane but explosive romanian right in the middle of crazy LA.
Adrian creates, ( to stay sane ) a fantastic universe of symbols, filling his fabulating Universe with strong statements
the unknown and mysterious. In between his shows Adrian lives
as web designer.
His own Web Site is proof of his quality as a great designer
also… amazing and convincing.
I met this exciting artist, several times and see forward meeting him again,
laughing and joking together about
the follies of the commercial
and superficial art environment.
We will likely discuss a new word for the idea of “Art”.
My gentle, reflecting friend Bill with a beautiful studio right on the slopes
of the Pacific coast of Oregon.
Between the studio and migrating whales Bill spends much time
in his wonderful garden filled with flowers
and vegetables for the
days healthy meal.
Natures green and its growth is art and meditation for Bill.
It is an
rich environment for recharging for his chores as sculptor,
water colour master, as well as songwriter and musician for the
homeless in Oregon.
I don’t know many people so close, so humble and honest
to the realms of the spirit.
It is “soulwork” to be near Bill and his small/great
Universe near the Pacific.
